Massage

What to expect

Our aim at NQ BodyFix is to have you feeling as comfortable as possible, both mentally and physically.

Massage can be a new experience for some, so we ensure everything is explained and all your questions are answered.

In your initial session you will be asked a number if questions regarding your general health and any conditions and problems you may have. This assists your therapist to assess any problem areas - special tests may be required to check for restricted movement, muscular and joint pain, muscle tenderness and posture. This assessment will enable us to structure the best treatment plan for you and your body.

Depending on your body and issues, a series of treatments may be recommended. However, if you’re just after a relaxing massage and time-out, then the frequency is entirely up to you.

Following your massage, you should drink lots of water to help flush out the debris and toxins that have been broken up.

Walking for five minutes after massage is recommended so the body stays in balance.

Lethargy and fatigue can be common after a massage so rest, relax and try not to drink alcohol as it may have a stronger effect.
